Abilities: Extremely skilled the the form of magic known as Territory Creation, aided by her Norn Artifact. A very versatile but time-consuming form of thaumaturgy, Territory Creation is useless in a one-on-one battle. However, as a support magic, it is nearly unrivaled. Territory Creation allows the user to shift the area and the rules in their favor, given enough time. The user can lay down rules such as "fire will be ineffective inside this area", and it will greatly weaken if not eliminate the damage of fire. All territories that the user can create will require at least an eight-count aria. The stronger ones will require at least ten counts, making it very inefficient. Her strongest territory requires thirty-two counts, meaning it will take well over a minute to cast. However, if she ever gets enough time to cast it, she can literally seal all of her opponent's abilities, given the condition that they are not more than three times her superior in terms of magical power.

She has basic skills in other magical arts, but is decently skilled in the use of rune magic, using blood to create seals or magic circles to aid in spellcasting.

Usually, Territory Creation would be limited by the area, the amount of ambient magic in the air, and the elements and circles needed to set it up. The Sun Soul makes it so the user can set up any territory wherever and whenever they want, provided they have enough energy left to power it. It turns Territory Creation from a static art into a mobile one, and drastically cuts down on the time it would take to set up magical defenses stemming from it.

*History: Kishiou was abandoned by her parents at a young age, and was adopted by a mage named Joseph Harrington. He cared for her, raised her like his own daughter, and taught her the arts of magic, especially territory creation. At sixteen she overheard him conversing with an associate of his, and discovered a horrible truth: her master had been contracted to use a Zuman in an experiment to discover magical potential in a Norn Artifact, and she was simply the one he'd chosen. He'd never thought anything of her, and only cared about the results. Enraged and despairing over her lost life and the betrayal of a man she'd thought of as a father, she stabbed him in the back with her dagger and fled. Unfortunately, Harrington's associate caught wind of it, and hired Kirei Katsugiya to kill her. Having no combat skills and being inexperienced as a mage compared to Kirei, Kishiou had no chance of escaping. However, Kirei chose to ask why a girl who seemingly had everything in life would want to kill her own father, and thus learned the truth. He chose to help her, clearing up the situation with the police as a misunderstanding by calling in favors from friends in the mercenary business, then turning around and killing the man who had contracted both him and Harrington to use against Kishiou. She traveled with Kirei for a few weeks afterward, eventually settling in Agrabah to work as a caretaker for the town's children. She has resided there ever since, though she still works for Kirei as one of his contacts on the side, in addition to practicing her magecraft.

Following this encounter, Vector appears throughout the adventure as an antagonist to Sabrina's party, having been instructed by his superiors to abduct her, for some reason.  He also appears to have other missions to concern himself with and occasionally chooses to pursue those, depending on what is more immediately important.

So I just finished the outline of Season 1. As it stands right now, Season 1 is comprised of 40 Episodes EXACTLY, and not counting filler. That's 40 episodes in which plot-significant events occur. To include the filler episodes, that probably places Season 1 are around 60 (which is why any filler episodes covered in RP will, at most, be skimmed over). But yeah. That's a bit of an achievement. XD

I've spent a fair portion of the day updating the first two posts of this thread.  Feel free to check back on those.  Here is a list of things added or modified in the order that they appear.

  1. An in-depth list of the 9 regions has been added beneath the introductory paragraph to the world of Vangelon.
  2. There is now a list of things I felt I should inform you that magic CANNOT do.  It is beneath the section labeled "Fundamental Rules".
  3. I have added details on the Public Reception of the Monster Control Unit.  Obviously, that is beneath the section labeled "Public Receptions".
  4. There is a comparison between the Norn Items and MCU's Spirit Weapons.  This is an in-depth description of both special McGuffins.
  5. The Darklight Chronicles sign-up is now marked as "Open".
  6. I have filled out the details for the Monster Control section, including the changing the status to "Open", adding the Plot, the Mythos, and the sign-up.
  7. In the Monster Control section is a brief description, detailing MCU's "Moral" feature.
  8. I have specified that the Experience Levels present in the second post of the thread are only those available in Season 1 of all three RP's.
  9. I have updated the "Affinity & Norn" section.  It details an alteration featuring Affinity Availability in Monster Control, now.
  10. I have added a section, detailing the fields available only in Monster Control.  These include a specific Occupation, Cover, Division, Spirit Weapons, and Spirit Arts.  I have also posted Sven and Juni's profiles as examples of Monster Control profiles.

Under the "Fundamental Rules" section, what do you mean by "absolute terrain control"? That could be taken any number of different ways.

EDIT: Also, is Kirei's "Shadow" Origin counted as darkness magic? Because it's going to play a large part in his abilities later, and I'd rather not change it.

No Terraforming or total control of one's surroundings. Also, obviously, nothing as extreme as erecting whole mountains/volcanoes, canyons, or oceans/large rivers. No natural disasters of considerable scale (large Earthquakes, massive tornados, hurricanes).

Norn: Knight of Honor- Vincent's Norn Artifact is essentially instant armor. The bracelet on his left wrist folds out into his armor when the activation command "to glory" is given. It is tough and durable, as well as lightweight. The armor also has a secondary effect, allowing him to tap into the true strength of any weapons he holds, and master the accumulated experience of it, allowing him to wield it like an expert. However, this eats away at his mind because it does so using advanced nanotech that feeds on neural impulses. At high enough levels, the nanomachines will literally feed on the neurons of his brain. Vincent's "sword", a spirit weapon that is incredibly ancient. It is semi-conical, having no bladed edges, and the helical "point" is more for decoration than anything. However, it is sturdy to the point of being nigh-unbreakable, and makes a decent blunt weapon, given that it is durable, well-balanced, and heavy enough to cause damage.

Rupture- Allows Vincent to teleport within a distance of ten meters of his starting location. Repeated jumps will exhaust him quickly, as the technique is very energy-intensive.

The World's Truth (uncontrollable)- The three parts of Promised Victory spin at opposite rotations, generating an incredibly powerful energy field that rends space around the target, ripping them apart before crushing them. Vincent currently has no control over this attack.

*History: Vincent is essentially the spoiled brat of his family. His father is a higher-up administrator in the MCU, and his brother Sergei is part of the Alpha Division of the MCU. Thus, Vincent essentially rode through the academy on the coattails of his family. This resulted in his conceited attitude, and made it so that he made very few friends during his time as a student. He learned how to access the Knight of Honor as a child, and trained with it for many years, but his father had always restricted him from accessing its more powerful abilities. During one of his field experience classes, he and his classmates ran into a much larger and more powerful monster than they had accounted for, and were getting destroyed. He turned to using the Knight of Honor to grasp the accumulated experience of his Spirit Weapon, and used The Truth of the World to annihilate the monster, though killing several of his fellow students in the process. Vincent, having his mind fed on by the nanites that make Knight of Honor's power possible, doesn't remember anything of the experience except blurred and static-y images of the monster being ripped apart, along with the screaming of his fellow students. Though he gets praised for it, the event scares the hell out of him, and he swears to never use Knight of Honor's true power unless there is no other choice. However, he retains his snobbish attitude despite his performance dropping, and he's eventually tossed over to Gamma division a few months post-graduation to try and straighten him out. He's been "on loan" ever since, and he hasn't changed much.

*History: Melody is the sole heir to her family's seat of power in a city somewhere in Mazde Yarde.  However, she seems to want nothing to do with the responsibility or politics of it.  She has a surprisingly acute political sense, but is more interested in expression and image.  She left her family after coming of age, deciding to join the Academy for its academic reputation.  However, after she was done, she opted to go ahead with the Monster Control Imperative, stationing in Kroma Falls, a whole region away.

During her two years of service, she rather quickly climbed to Beta Division.  In combat, she utilizes three Forms: Aria, Bravura, and Cabaletta.  Aria Form is her standard set-up.  She uses her cello as a heavy shield and bludgeon for enemies who get too close, all while using the bow as a scepter to cast precise spells.  This form has earned her the nickname of "Melody the Conductor".  In Bravura Form, she extends her bow with spirit energy, using it as a javelin and holds her cello out in front of her for a highly defensive combat strategy.  This form is often referred to by others as her "Heavy Form" as she uses both instruments in slow but powerful striking attacks.  It is also in this form that she can use her "Charge!" technique to ram enemies.  Her final form, Cabaletta, is oft referred to as "Light Form".  She straps the cello to her back and focuses on using her sword as a bow with sporadic spell usage.

*History: Chi is perhaps the most diverse member of the cast.  She is the daughter of Luci Shi, owner of Bang Bang's!  As such, she has been raised on tradition and the like for years.  By the time she was twelve, she was a proficient martial artist.  But she had also developed a wild streak.  Having grown fed up with her daughter, Luci sent Chi off to an all girl boarding school.  However, Chi disappeared after two years.  Having been a prodigy, the education was highly redundant anyway.  She spent the following two years traveling abroad as a circus performer, mastering her showmanship talents.  At sixteen, she left the circus when she discovered that she wasn't making a fair cut (something she'd overlooked for two years because of the fun she was having).  She spent the next two years as a bounty hunter, during which time she had her fans blessed by the spirits in a Spirit Temple.  Eventually a job would force her to return to Kroma Falls, where she discovered that her mother believed her dead due to a monster attack that'd destroyed the school where she was sent, mere days after she ran off.  Chi ran with it, and decided to stick around with her family at the restaurant, but double up as a street performer to make some money for herself.

One evening, in particular, Willow decided to try the food there.  The instant Willow saw Chi, she asked if she'd be interested in a game of chess.  The match was interrupted by Willow needing to go and attend to MCU business, but it was the longest, closest game Willow had ever had with anyone.  The question looms over many an onlooker who might have won the most epic game of chess ever played.  It's been implied that Willow and Chi both know the answer, but they don't discuss it with anyone.  Nor do either of them seem particularly interested in a rematch.  However, Willow has before expressed that Chi would make a useful addition to the crew.

So I was thinking of opening up the Morale System to that it applies to more than just Sven. This way you could generate your own conversations for your characters (examples of which I will post shortly, so you'll get clarity on how that works) and maybe, as a bonus, having a high Rapport Level between two characters lets those characters have some sort of team attack or something. Tis just a thought. I am interested in hearing your thoughts on this idea.

The Morale system itself is from something called Sakura Wars. As for Xenoblade, never played it. And I've only ever been able to figure out how team attacks work in one friggin Tales game. So no. The idea of team attacks is something I just thought would be cool...

Besides: WT plays like a cartoon. Figured it'd be neat if each Vangelon RP had its own play style. WT like a cartoon, MC like a video game. Dunno what I'd choose for DC yet, though.

*History: Lynn reveals very little of her background.  People only learn details from her if she trusts them implicitly...that is exceptionally rare.  Even so, she never reveals names, dates, or places.  Alice is the only member of the MCU with in-depth knowledge.  She had been raised in a hidden village somewhere in a foreign region, in which she was trained from an early age as a ninja.  Her father raised her harshly, and would only allow her to see her mother once a month.  All she ever really knew about her mother was that she loved to knit, valued appearance, and enjoyed reading.  He'd never once praised her talents or her resolve.  He only ever pushed her harder and drove her into the ground, calling her weak and telling her that a clan was only as strong as their weakest link.  He would tolerate no weak links.  It was harsh, but it was all Lynn ever knew...and it proved to be correct, in her experience.  She went through a series of trials that all the clans put their young through as a coming-of-age ceremony at 16.  She passed with a deduction of only 3 points out of 100.  She ranked the highest of any of the other younglings to endure the trials that year.  But for her father, it wasn't good enough.  She expected his praise, but he rebuked her expectations, claiming that she had failed, and that he had failed her.  That evening he was found dead as an act of Seppuku.

Lynn was shunned and shamed, following this.  It eventually reached a point in which she left her village and was eventually recommended, on her travels, to join the Imperial Academy.  Following her time there, she proved to excel both in academics and combat, already being an expert in the field.  She was stationed in Kroma Falls after her graduation.

Less than a full year ago, she left on vacation after receiving a disturbing letter.  She returned with a broken shard from a mirror and a burnt red scarf.  She doesn't like to discuss what happened, but it appears to be a sore spot.

She speaks little of events between her home life and joining the Imperial Academy alongside her brother.  However, it is common knowledge that she surpassed him and at one point led a sizable group of students in saving the school from a raid.  She was stationed back in Kroma Falls after graduation, with her brother transferring to Kroma Falls to stay by her side.  Per the Academy's recommendation, she was immediately slated into the Alpha Division and tested for the position of Captain, which she attained with ease.
