You awaken in a crowded small room. Paint is chipping off the walls and the windows are barred and blacked out. The floor is made of cement and covered in dust. About 30 children around the age of 16 are moving about and beginning to stand. All of you grasp a small welcome letter (Previous Post). The only light in the room is from a old dirty lightbulb hanging from a cord in the center of the room.
After some confusion and reading the inhabitants grow restless and try to open the only door... to no prevail. People pull our phones and devices but no signal works. After about 5 minutes of panic a large flatscreen tv illuminates on the ceiling and lowers to the wall of part of the room. Its screen shows the words “We Belong to DCU” with a small clown skull bouncing around the screen. Suddenly a deep booming voice is heard from the monitor. the voice has a strange accent and a fading tone of mystery.
“Welcome to DCU, by now the chloroform is wearing off and you’ve read your letters. I am overjoyed with being the first one to see and speak to you now that your on our great campus. You may refer to me as No. 9. I am your academic advisor if you so wish to see it that way. Your parents know your here, your friends will not come looking so come to the realization that you are stuck.”
The door opens up and you are met with the scopes and barrels of several dozen highly armed soldiers all wearing DCU vests. They lead you out to a courtyard where you can see other children exiting similar zones into a courtyard. There are about 300 children in this area. All separated into 10 zones. Your voice comes over a megaphone and continues it’s speech.
“Lets get started. We are a prestigious school that operates to train the best. We have agreements from most Governments and Private Sectors. You will lie, cheat, and kill better than anyone else and be unstoppable agents of nightmares. But first you must attend school. Why pick you, well why not. Most of you are good, kind people. Some of you are heartless thieves and bullies. You are all the caliber we are looking for or can at least be crafted into proper tools. The nurse will come by and take down your name and current ranks in our departments of education and give you a sheet to pick your starting classes. One more fun tidbit. Look to your left, and your right. 95% of you will be dead before graduation. Have fun and remember, any attempt to leave DCU territory will result in death.”
